All-Grain U-Brewery & Premium Winemaking Shop
604-463-1989

We are currently looking for a full-time Brewery Production Worker for our shop. This person will be in charge of all aspects of beer production.

We are a small team and we choose carefully when we hire; we want our employees to be happy and have fun working with us and we need everyone to pitch in and be willing to do anything as we are a small, very busy facility! We need someone who is a self-starter and who can ‘learn on the fly’. We will provide training but also expect people to pay attention to what other staff are doing and learn as they go. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on brewing experience on a craft brewery scale.

Duties will include:

Beer Brewing: We brew on a 7 barrel all-grain system. You will learn to execute every brew from start to finish. Brewing experience or education would be a huge asset for this part of the job, but we are also willing to provide training for the right candidate without previous experience.

Beer Production: Filtering, Carbonating, Kegging and setting people up for bottling.

Cleaning: is always a large part of the position – washing equipment, performing regular maintenance of the beer equipment, following cleaning and sanitizing protocols throughout the facility.

Customer Service: setting up customers to bottle their beer. Answering the phone and booking bottling appointments. Talking to customers about our products and taking their orders. You will be the resident beer expert.

Qualifications:

-Some level of brewing experience and/or brewing program completion would be a huge asset.

-Mechanical maintenance experience and/or training also an asset.

-Time management skills (no one will be looking over you shoulder making sure everything gets done). On any one day you will be brewing, filtering, kegging, taking orders and getting customers set up to bottle their beer.

-Customer service experience – a willingness to chat with customers and ‘talk about beer’ – our business is built on customer relationships!

-Heavy lifting is required (50+ lbs).

-A generally great attitude towards work, you want to enjoy your job and are a self-starter.

-A love of beer and wine.

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week, Tuesday to Saturday. We brew 1-2 days per week and brew days are generally 9 hour days and then Saturday is only a 6 hour day.

Please send us an email telling us about yourself and a copy of your resume. We will be calling shortlisted candidates for interviews.

We believe we are a fun place to work! We have great staff and great customers and while we are very busy, we are also a very relaxed, easy-going work environment. For anyone who has been interested in taking their brewing skills to the next level, this is a great opportunity.

**No phone calls or drop-ins please. Respond by email only.**
